The Calling est un groupe de rock alternatif originaire de la Californie. Fondé par Alex Band (chant) et Aaron Kamin (guitare), il regroupe aussi Sean Woolstenhulme (guitare), Billy Mohler (basse) et Nate Wood (batterie). En 2002, après avoir participé au film Coyote Ugly, le groupe lance son premier album Camino Palmero qui connait un énorme succès aux États-Unis notamment grâce au titre "Wherever You Will Go" (5ème aux charts US). L'album sort en France un an plus tard ou il connaît aussi un franc succès. En 2004 sort "Two", avec surtout la chanson "Our Lives" qui restera dans les mémoires....

London Calling was formed in December of 2002 in Evansville, Indiana. London Calling (or "L/C") consists of Jamie Rowe on Vocals and Guitar, Jon Gilbert on Guitar and Piano, Matthew Martin on Bass and Drummer Derek D. Sorrells. London Calling's sound is described as power/hard/explosive pop with some hook laden choruses. They are mainly influenced by Fountains of Wayne, American Hi-Fi, Sugarcult, Lit, Cheap Trick, and The Sweet. After signing with Atenzia Records in 2004, London Calling re-released their 2003 album "New Sensation" with 5 additional songs and packaged as "You're So Lucky" .

There are several bands named Calliope. 1) Formed in February 1994 in East Lansing Michigan, CALLIOPE were borne from the remnants of the popular Sixth With Violet. Andy Dryer, Jason Lantrip and Eric Merckling, three fifths of Sixth With (the other two went on to form the ethereal Michigan space rock outfit Fibre Forms and then Kiln) recruited drummer Matt Ellison (who went to high school with Lantrip) and Calliope was set. The band signed with THICK Records soon after their inception and entered the infamous Chicago Trax studio for a weekend bender. The resulting self titled debut was released...

Our story begins in a tiny town in Idaho with no stop light and a population sign of 400-something. Callie grew up in a home where music was a way of life. With a father who was a working musician, she often fell asleep to the sound of his bluegrass band practicing outside her door.
