Rowan Coupland is a writer/singer/multi instrumentalist whose work focuses on the depths of situations, real and imagined. His voice has garnered praise from critics and his peculiarly intense performance style has both alarmed and enchanted audiences. His delivery shifts between profound English delicacy and wild-eyed energy, at one moment Nick Drake, at the next, Little Richard. Peter Rowan (b. July 4, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American bluegrass musician and composer. Rowan plays guitar and mandolin, yodels and sings. While in high school in 1956, Peter formed the Tex-Mex group The Cupids which became locally famous and self-released a single. In 1963 he joined the Mother Bay State Entertainers and played mandolin on their record, The String Band Project. He became a member of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys in 1964 before forming Earth Opera with David Grisman in 1967. They frequently opened for The Doors. Башня Rowan [Bashnya Rowan] (eng. Rowan Tower) was formed in 1995 by Tikkey A. Shelyen, poet and singer, who was strongly linked to St.-Petersburg folk rock bands like Птица Си [Ptitsa Si] (eng. Si Bird) and Р*ождество [R*ozhdestvo] (eng. Christmas). This band has changed many times, but has mainly consisted of Tikkey (acoustic guitar, vocal), the violinist, bassist, and drummer.
