Tocotronic est un groupe de rock indépendant allemand, originaire d'Hambourg.
Groupe fondé en 1993, composé de Jan Müller (basse), Arne Zank (batterie) et Dirk von Lowtzow (guitare et chant), et nommé d'après le nom de la marque allemande des jeux électroniques Nintendo Game & Watch: Tricotronic. Rick McPhail (guitare et clavier) devient officiellement membre du groupe en 2004 après avoir été longtemps présent sur scène pendant les tournées du groupe.
A leurs débuts, ils avaient été considérés Outre-Rhin comme " la réponse allemande à Nirvana". Leurs textes frappaient en plein dans le mille des préoccupations de la jeunesse de l'époque....

Esiotrot, formed in late 2003/early 2004, is a seven-piece band from Brighton, UK. They have officially released one LP (Schmesiotrot) and two EPs (Esio Trot, Esiotrotsky). Although the band's line-up is always expanding, their sound is increasingly intimate, erudite and charming. They have drawn comparisons to Pavement, The Velvet Underground, Hefner, and numerous other staples of indie rock. Esiotrot has performed with Jens Lekman, Danielson, Los Campesinos!, Pants Yell! and I'm From Barcelona (among others).
