Donovan (de son nom complet Donovan Philip Leitch), né le 10 mai 1946 dans le quartier de Maryhill à Glasgow (Écosse) est un musicien britannique.
Il apprend la guitare à l'âge de quatorze ans. Woody Guthrie et Ramblin'Jack Elliot figurent parmi les influences qui nourrissent sa culture musicale. Sa carrière débute en 1965 à l' occasion d' une émission de TV anglaise qui le fait connaître auprès du grand public.
