There are at least four artists and bands with this name:

1) A thrash/death metal band from Joplin, MO who are currently active. Their bio is as follows:

KROM started in August of 2008. The instrumentalists were originally together in a crust-punk band called Initial Detonation. We’d released two 7” records & did 2 tours. James, our singer, was in a band called H.R.B. In I.D., we were in a van for one three week tour and one six week tour of the east coast & mid-west in the mid & late nineties. James, Mike, and Larry formed Aether Bunny, which morphed into KROM once Ritchie was brought onboard. Our sound has been described as N.W.O.B.H.M. meets early Earache Records. Our local scene is pretty varied, but not many bands are playing fast songs. We didn’t initially set out to be different, but it has definitely turned out that way. It is something we are coming to realize the more shows we play. We feel we have the metal philosophy down pat. To quote Rob Halford, we’re loud, we smell, and we’re offensive to some people. We are fairly prolific songwriters as well. We have 15 original songs that are total face rippers, ranging from fast grind core style songs to down tuned sludgy doom, with a shitty attitude of course. We had some stickers, CD’s & t-shirts made recently & hope to spread the word as much as possible. Feel free to leave any comments, questions, concerns, gripes, etc. The only excitement we have in our lives is checking our My Space page for new comments. Yeah we're losers I guess, but we love it. 2) A misspelling of the Swedish trip-hop band Krom, formed by Sofia Allard & Johan Lejdemyr. They released "This" in 1999 - their only album before splitting up.

3) A band founded in iceland by Andrew Lord and Ulfar thordarson, they started out as " Pyrotechnix " but later changed their name to " Króm " just before their debut release album " it all makes sense now ".

Krom is actually an icelandic word for " Chrome " and is written "Króm".

4) A black metal guitarist named Anthony Campagna. He released three albums.
