Miquel Gil is one of the best known Valencian folk artist. His career started in "Al Tall" a traditional folk band from the Valencian Country.

His solo career mixes up sounds from across the mediterranean with a strong Valencian foundation, rooted in the moorish influences of his native culture.

After more than a hundred concerts of his CD Orgànic (Galileo-MC, 2002) and becoming a reference of Valencian folk, Miquel Gil begins a new adventure with his second soloist CD: Katà (Galileo-MC, 2004).

With his previous CD (Orgànic), Miquel Gil got the following awards:
• Premi Altaveu (Altaveu Award), St Boi de Llobregat, September 2002
• Premi Puig-Porret (Puig-Porret Award), Mercat de Música de Vic 2002
• Best Catalan disc of the year Award , Enderrock, 2002
• Best Folk disc Award, Enderrock, 2002
• Finalist at Premis ARC - Associació de Representants de Catalunya
