Gli Atmosphere sono un gruppo hip hop statunitense, formato da: Slug aka Sept Sev Seven (all'anagrafe Sean Daley): Prima che si formassero gli Atmosphere a Rochester, Minnesota, Slug era membro di un gruppo conosciuto come The Rhymesayers Collective, assieme a Stress (Siddiq Ali) e Spawn (Derek Turner). Slug si occupava del DJing, Stress e Spawn si occupavano delle liriche. Black Atmosphere was formed in 1991 in Los Angeles, CA. by Xstoph Gladis. Strictly starting as a recording project. As a few previous project including - Christian Death, The Dream, Legion, and Black Cow, jaded his live performance and outlook on the music industry. Sure enough theatrical instincts in Xstoph's life took over and soon Black Atmosphere ventured out as a live act, combining theatrics with a psychedelic / glam-gothic appearance and musical structure.
