AS ELEPHANTS ARE were formed in High Wycombe in 2011 after Ben (vocals/guitar) and Harry (bass) had to collaborate on the writing and recording of music for their college music course. Realising that there was no one else like-minded on the course they recruited an old school friend each in Joe (guitar) and Rob (drums) to complete the recording line up. The EE's are a strange Italian Barret-inspired group as the name suggests; nods are taken to Syd's guitar style (they do a cover of Interstellar Overdrive). The band has a nice laid-back vibe, sub-par vocals are treated with much reverb and down in the mix creating and sustaining a nice Italian "haze". If that sounds at all good to you, this comes highly recommended.
