パオロ・ヌティーニ(Paolo Giovanni Nutini)は1987年1月9日生まれ。スコットランド・ペイズリー出身のシンガーソングライターである。時々「パオロ･ヌッティーニ」という表記も見かけるが、日本語のウェブサイトなどでは大半が「ヌティーニ」と表記。David Bowie, Damien Rice, Oasis, The Beatles, U2, Pink FloydやＦleetwood Macの影響を受ける。 正式な音楽レッスンは受けておらず、デビュー以前は家族の家業を継ぐ事を考えていた。彼に歌う事を勧めたのは音楽好きの祖父であった。彼が通っていた学校の教師も彼の才能を見抜いていたようである。 その後はスタジオなどで働きながら音楽の勉強をしたり、一人・もしくはバンドでパフォーマンスをこなしたりして過ごす。 2003年の初め、とあるコンサートに参加した事が彼にとって大きなチャンスとなり、2006年6月17日にはデビューアルバム「These Streets」をリリース。いきなりＵＫアルバムチャートで3位を獲得する。恋人との関係についての歌詞が多く含まれ、Jenny Don't Be Hasty ( “ 君は僕がもし23なら結婚するって言ったけど、君は僕がたった18だってことに気付かなかったじゃないか ” という歌詞で曲が始まる) は彼の経験に基づく実話らしい。 2009年にサマーソニックで来日も果たしている。 (英語版バイオグラフィの一部を翻訳し、ほんの僅かに付け足したものです) .

Paolo Conte (born 6 January 1937 in Asti, Piedmont, Italy) is a craggy-voiced italian singer, pianist and composer.
