ジョー・サトリアーニ（Joe Satriani, 1956年7月15日）は、ニューヨーク州ロングアイランド出身のギタリスト。 主にギターインストゥルメンタル曲を中心に作曲しており、出世作は1987年の「Surfing With The Alien」。 同作品によってサトリアーニはテクニックだけでなく、その音楽性においても高い評価を得た。 その技術は評価が高く、名ギタリストの1人として数えられる人物である。ミック・ジャガーの初来日公演に帯同したり、ディープ・パープルのライブで一時的にリッチー・ブラックモアの代役を務めたりと、大物ミュージシャンからも信頼されている。 ステージでは基本的に動きが少なく、畳一畳分どころか、座布団一枚分くらいの立ち回りで演奏する硬派な演奏家である。 自作曲のコンサートの他に、著名ギタリスト2人と競演する「G3」が有名で、2005年5月には「G3」として初となる来日公演も行っている。 ジミ・ヘンドリックスに多大な影響を受けた事を告白しており、彼の曲をG3で演奏する事も多い。 昔は長髪だったが、現在はスキンヘッド。ライヴ演奏時はサングラスを愛用しているが、これは「演奏中、目を閉じているのを観客に見られるのが恥ずかしいから」との事である。 彼の曲はしばしばテレビ番組でBGMとして使われ、またプレイステーション2用ゲームソフト「グランツーリスモ4」にも収録されている「サマーソング（Summer Song）」は最も有名な曲である。また、Surfing with the Alienに収録されている"Always with me, always with you"は、FEN（現AFN）の深夜番組East of midnightのエンディングテーマとして使われていた。 スティーヴ・ヴァイ、カーク・ハメット、アレックス・スコルニック、チャーリー・ハンターにギターを教えた実績がある。 若き日に日本に滞在していた時期があり、尾崎亜美らと親交があったという。 .
