Gianluca Grignani (born 7 April 1972 in Milan, Italy) is an Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist. His musical career took off after meeting guitarist, and producer Massimo Luca. In 1995 Grignani managed a breakthrough with the album "Destinazione Paradiso" which sold two million copies within a year and for which he was awarded the Telegatto. He is well-known in Europe for his excellent lyrics and soft rock. Gianluca Cascioli (born in Turin, Italy on 17 July 1979) is an Italian pianist, conductor, and composer. He studied composition at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin and piano with Franco Scala. In 1994, Cascioli won the Umberto Micheli International Piano Competition, whose jury included Luciano Berio, Elliott Carter, Charles Rosen, and Maurizio Pollini. The prize included a record contract with Deutsche Grammophon, for whom he recorded three CDs in his late teens.
