(2001 – 2011) iiO (sometimes written as IIO, pronounced "eye-oh") was a New York City based house music act consisting of producer/songwriter Markus Moser and singer/songwriter Nadia Ali. iiO are best known for their 2001 hit "Rapture". The name iiO was derived from the Sony PC laptop model VAIO, on which the duo was creating much of their early work, and the duo was in fact first known as Vaiio. A solo project, started in 2012 by Christopher Gurney, IIOIOIOII takes on lush soundscapes and heavy melodic elements and combines them with hard hitting beats and distorted industrial sounds. Inspired by groups like Skinny Puppy, Depeche Mode, and Nine Inch Nails, IIOIOIOII combines the influences to create a new sound that pays homage to the Industrial music of the late 1980s and early 1990s. .

Miio is a swedish popgroup, created by the producers in Tetrapop in the middle of 2003. Miio got well-known after their first present of a cover on "När vi två blir en", whose original is made by another popgroup called Gyllene Tider 1980. The song got an huge success and sold gold in only few weeks. Even the next single and their complete recorded album "På vårt sätt" had great success and the group reached in all 3 gold cd's 2004. .

In autumn 2007, when Gray Code was laying low, Joni van der Leeuw and Timo Pisart started recording a couple of songs with simple equipment and little effects, just to see how it would sound. This ended up in the first EP: "Slowly, But Surely". Timo and Joni thought the arrangements were good enough to play live with a similar feel and sound (soft-toned and gentle) but knew Gray Code wasn't the band that would do it.
