Audiafauna is the result of a true collaboration of minds and hearts. What they’ve created is arrestingly genuine – combining the genres of indie-folk, pop, electronica, and soul to name a few – and can be likened to the powerhouse vocals of Florence & the Machine, the impassioned hunger of Cat Power, and the curiosity of Cocorosie. What they’ve created is uniquely their own however, and the striking sincerity with which it’s delivered transcends whatever personal preference listeners might cling to. Front-woman Kelly Koval is enrapturing, and her heartfelt words are matched by the powerful sound that springs forth from...
Twilight Fauna is a one man atmospheric metal band from Appalachia. Constantly pushing the boundaries between genres, multi-instrumentalist Ravenwood uses a variety of traditional folk instruments alongside conventional black metal guitar work and primitive drumming to create a unique blend of blackened folk metal. Since forming in 2011, Twilight Fauna has released multiple full lengths, EPs, and splits including the much acclaimed Hymns of a Forgotten Homeland. At least three bands named 'Fauna' exist: 1. A reclusive American dark ambient/black metal band. They released two demos titled Rain and The Hunt in 2007, each composed of a single song of over an hour in length. Rain was released on Aurora Borealis in 2008; a release of The Hunt followed in late 2009 with live drums replacing the drum machine of the original. An additional, digital release of The Hunt followed via Bandcamp that removed the Aurora Borealis CD's lossy mastering and gaps between tracks. The band's third album, Avifauna, was released in 2012 via Pesanta Urfolk on...
