VIS Idoli (often only Idoli) was a New-Wave / Pop-Art band, officially founded on 1st of March 1980 in Belgrade, Serbia (than part of SFR Yugoslavia) The line-up included three primary school friends: Vlada Divljan, Zdenko Kolar, and drummer Boža Jovanović as well as Divljan's high school friends Srđan Šaper and Nebojša Krstić. The band played their first gig in 1980 in Belgrade’s SKC (Student Cultural Centre), where they performed together with the leading bands of Belgrade's new wave scene.
