A compilation of home demos, "The Second of July", was issued in 1998. Tracks like "My Clown", "Dandelion Seeds", "Jolly Mary", and "You Missed It All" are considered some of the better psychedelic songs of the era. They have reformed and are releasing a new album.

David Julyan is a British musician and film score composer. He composed the scores to the Christopher Nolan films Following, Memento, Insomnia and The Prestige, a collaboration that began with the short film Larceny. Recently he scored the horror movie The Descent. Julyan has also been invited to sit on film music discussion panels at various film festivals, including the BMI Music & Film Panel at the 2004 & 2006 Sundance Film Festivals and the 2002 Flanders International Film Festival Ghent panel on "How To Get Started In Film Music". July Skies is an ambient/post-rock band from The Black Country, West Midlands, UK. The project started off as a one-man band in 1997, when Antony Harding bought his first guitar. In 2003 he was joined by Epic45 musicians Ben Holton and Rob Glover, who contributed to Harding's second, third and fourth albums as well as July Skies' live shows. Harding also contributed to the 2008 Avrocar album 'Against the Dying of the Light' on Make Mine Music .
