Prodigy (* 2. November 1974 in Hempstead, New York City als Albert Johnson) ist ein US-amerikanischer Rapper und eine Hälfte des Hip-Hop-Duos Mobb Deep. Johnson wurde in Hempstead geboren und begann Ende der 1980er Jahre zu Rappen. Mit Havoc, welchen Prodigy auf der High School of Art and Design in New York City kennen lernte, gründete er daraufhin das Duo Mobb Deep. Prodigy nahm dabei zu Beginn die Rolle des Rappers ein, während Havoc die Beats beisteuerte.
