Paul Gonsalves (1920-1974) was a U.S. jazz tenor saxophonist, best known for his work with Duke Ellington. Born on 12th July 1920 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Cape Verdean parents, Gonsalves' first instrument was the guitar. He grew up in New Bedford, Massachusetts and played as a member of the Sabby Lewis Orchestra. His first professional engagement in Boston was with the same group on tenor saxophone, with whom he played before and after his military service during World War II. Ruth Laredo (November 20, 1937 – May 25, 2005) was an American classical pianist. She became known in the 1970s in particular for her premiere recordings of the 10 sonatas of Scriabin and the complete solo piano works of Rachmaninoff, for her Ravel recordings and in the last  16 1⁄2 years before her death for her series in the Metropolitan Museum of Art “Concerts with Commentary”. She was often referred to as “America's First Lady of the Piano”. .
An atmospheric band from Minsk, combining such elements as post-metal, sludge, post-hardcore and ambient in their music. The band was initially founded in 2010 as a project focused on instrumental music, with members being from several local music groups.
