Maria del Mar Bonet i Verdaguer (27-4-1947) è una cantante catalana (Spagna). Nata a Palma di Maiorca, nel 1967 si trasferisce a Barcellona per intraprendere gli studi da ceramista alla Escola Massana. Sempre a Barcellona inizia a cantare assieme ai “Setze Jutges” (i Sedici Giudici, da uno scioglilingua catalano), importante formazione di cui fecero parte tra gli altri anche Joan Manuel Serrat e Lluís Llach. Il gruppo diede origine al movimento della “Nova Cançó” (Nuova Canzone), che promuoveva il normale uso del catalano nonostante il divieto franchista. .
