Formed in Austin, TX, Pompeii are best known for their melodic and ambient rock sound, which features the addition of a cello. Their two releases, Assembly and Nothing Happens for a Reason are both distributed through Eyeball Records (WEA/ADA), Bad News Records (Japan) and Cargo Distribution (Europe). Pompeii has received worldwide attention and critical acclaim from such outlets as American Songwriter Magazine, Alternative Press, Filter, NPR, Apple and MTV. The band is currently working on a third full length. .
Soulsister ist eine belgische Pop-Formation bestehend aus Jan Leyers and Paul Michiels. Sie landete mit „The Way To Your Heart“ den Frühjahrs-Hit 1989. An diesen Erfolg konnten die Musiker zwar kommerziell nicht wieder anknüpfen. Bis 1994 entstanden aber insgesamt 5 Alben (It takes two, Heat, Simple rule, Live savings, Swinging like big dogs) mit einfühlsamen, souligen und funkigen Tracks. Titel wie "Broken", "It ain't that simple", "Through before we startet" oder "Sweet dreamer" sind Ohrwürmer und werden auch heute noch auf vielen Stationen gespielt. The Hall of Souls is a Gothic Rock band from Germany formed in 1991. According to the Hidden Pleasures blog the band's line-up consists of Crowley, Ravenwood, and Fate. Soulstorm was formed in May of 1991 by Nick Sagias (Bass/Vocals). Nick had just disbanded his previous band Overthrow and played in Holland’s Pestilence before realizing he needed to do something new and exciting. Soulstorm were early pioneers of death metal with industrial overtones, sounding like a cross between Ministry, Swans, Godflesh, Celtic Frost and Obituary.
