Three Steps to The Ocean was born in January 2006 in Italy. Andrea, Davide, Andrea e Francesco spent this year playing into their cube, moulding their musical intentions, results of their expression and experiences. The Insteps were an American ska band based out of New York City. They had a brief career in the mid 1990's and produced only one album "Eleven Steps To Power." That album featured Jamaican toaster King Stitt on two tracks. Their membership included singers Noah Roy and Peter Loshak, guitarist Dave Hahn, trombonist Dave Nelson, saxophonist Keith Crockett, trumpeter Justin Decamp, keyboardist Dave Stone, bassist Sheldon Gregg and drummer Eddie Ocampo. Vertigo Steps play a kind of Heavy Rock/ Atmospheric Metal or as the band ironically self-pinned "Melancholy Metal", with a myriad influences (from post-rock to movie scores, alternative rock to extreme metal).
