There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Whales was a four piece DIY oriented indie rock/math pop band from some place in Texas. They played together for a couple of years while the members were in high school (mostly house shows at the legendary Skramansion), did a very short tour, moved around some, broke up and did some reunion shows after that.
