Albert Johnson, meglio conosciuto con lo pseudonimo Prodigy, (Long Island, 2 novembre 1974) è un rapper statunitense molto celebre negli anni ’90 nella scena East per essere stato la metà del duo Mobb Deep. È di origini etiopiche e giamaicane. Nato affetto da anemia falciforme e per tutta la vita deve subire il peso di questa malattia. Dopo aver conosciuto Havoc nella High School Art & Design di Manhattan ed aver formato con lui il duo Mobb Deep, cerca di esprimere la vita di strada fra droga e povertà attraverso il rap. I Prodigy sono un gruppo musicale britannico. Riconosciuti anche come il gruppo che ha portato ai mass media la sottocultura giovanile dei ravers, sono stati, come per esempio i The Chemical Brothers, abili esponenti del big beat degli anni 90. Si sono formati nel 1990 dopo che Keith Flint, Maxim Reality e l'abile dj-musicista Liam Howlett, si conobbero a un rave party.
