Sub Focusは、RAM RECORDSで現在最も注目されている、レーベルを代表するエース・アーティストの一人。 昨年待望のアルバム『SUB FOCUS』をリリースし、2010年の5月にはPendulumのUKツアーにもライブ出演し、波に乗るSUB FOCUS。2003年にRAM RECORDSの主宰Andy Cによりその才能が発掘され、数回のミーティングを経て「Down the Drain」のリリースに至る。これを期にSub Focusはドラムンベース界で名声をほしいがままにしてゆく。 2004年にはRAM RECORDS 6 EPの中に収録されたStrobeはハイライトと賞され、翌年「X RAY」をリリース。ドラムンベース本国イギリスのRadio1にてSingle of the Weekにも選ばれ、その結果The Prodigyのヒット曲「Smack My Bitch Up」のリミックスを依頼された。2005年以降もその勢いは止まらず、「Frozen Solid」や「Airplane Special Place」に代表される12インチのリリース、またDr. Octagonの「Aliens」のリミックスも手がけ、数々の音楽雑誌などでモダンアートと称された。 2007年にはアルバムリリースに向けて世界ツアーを精力的に行い、それに伴いリリースされたTimewrapは大ヒットとなる。そうして出来上がった初アルバム『SUB FOCUS』。13歳という若さで既にサンプリングとプロデュースを自力でマスターし、大学ではアコースティックを学んだその実力はロックからエレクトロニックミュージック全般において網羅する彼の全てが凝縮された作品になっている。そのユニークなサウンドとして完成した彼のアルバム『SUB FOCUS』は聴く者全ての期待に応えるだろう。 .
