Originally known as Slaves, Pleasure Forever was a rock band on Sub Pop Records. Their music is generally dark, and has a somewhat gothic/cabaret feel. Lyrical content (while heavily distorted on Alter) can be vague but is usually concerned with images of hedonism, lust, weakness of man, death and similar themes. Band Of Pain was started in 1994 as a side project of Splintered, the band Steve Pittis was part of. After several vinyl and CD releases and two John Peel sessions, Steve felt, it was time to break away. Before long, Band Of Pain became his main concern and Splinterd split at the end of 1996.
